100 Minute Practice Club
Students can earn rewards for their practice!
We are the only music school in Columbus Ohio that uses the 100 minute practice club. Other schools might offer stickers or the occasional praise a good week of practice but at the Powell Academy of Music we have create an entire system to encourage students to practice each week.
For every 100 minutes that each student practices and writes down on their practice log, they earn a special token. Students can save up the tokens to buy larger prizes(itunes gift cards, remote control helicopter etc) or they can turn them in for small prizes like erasers and sticker sheets. The 100 minute practice club is a great motivator for students and it helps parents and teachers know how much a student is really practicing.
